MobiScribe are one of the few brands that offer waterproof e-ink tablets.
They have a small product range, and are very competitive in terms of price.
However, I've found them to be unresponsive when emailing them for further information, and certain aspects of their communication raise concerns.
MobiScribe are a US-based company, with a German subsidary.
Ecosystem
MobiScribe have their own cloud, to which you can backup your notebooks. They also offer backup to third-party clouds, including Dropbox and Evernote.
I’m almost certain that they used to provide a neat screen sharing solution where the screen of one MobiScribe device could be shared with multiple other MobiScribe units. However, I am unable to find any information about this on their website (maybe I imagined it).
Customer Service
I’ve never been a customer of MobiScribe, so I cannot comment on customer service first-hand.
However, I have attempted to contact them on many occasions (over the course of a year) to request more information about their products, and have never received a reply, which is somewhat worrying.
In the community Facebook and Reddit groups, I have seen users concerned about the long-term viability of the brand and lack of software updates. There seems to be a sense that MobiScribe is on the decline.
In 2024, their website and cloud services went offline for nearly week and many users were concerned that they had closed permanently, but they did return and apologised for the outage.

Firmware
MobiScribe tablets run Android, and it is possible to install third-party apps from the Google Play Store.
The native note-taking app is reportedly pretty good, and the native e-reading app is usable but has a few limitations and bugs.
MobiScribe used to release regular firmware updates for their products, however, they seem to be much less frequent in recent years.
